Attunement is the art of softly and fully opening and receiving another person unconditionally and non-judgementally. Using your ears, your eyes, your heart and your felt sense to hear, receive and fully meet them.
Receptive listening is when the normal or mundane mind makes a shift into seeing, perceiving, understanding and relating to human experience in quite a different way to it’s usual condition. we are receiving beyond conditioning.
There is a collective wisdom that we begin to glimpse and receive, meditation allows us to see/hear this knowing, this perception. Our perception fine tunes and widens, it softens and opens; in the everyday our gross thought MIND cuts off these channels. Developing them and allowing them to roll and run through us, we learn to receive and allow the infinite, we let go and let be and we hear without analysis or cognitive contraction, we are OPEN to what is and what we may not know.
Meditative and contemplative practices can gradually open these channels of deeper and softer perception, so too can significant and unusual life events; wilderness experience, solitude, death, illness, deep loss or retreat and spiritual experience.
Rivers and rivers roll through my tear ducts and waves and waves roll through my heart and storms and storms rage through my mind.
In many modern families the Easter Bunny is a welcome visitor, but did you know his origins as a symbol for the new season have been around for centuries. Easter Bunny’s ancestors can be found in pre-christian folk law. Along with eggs, rabbits have come to be symbols of fertility on many cultures and an obvious choice for welcoming spring. Traditions around the Easter Bunny vary from country to country but usually involve him depositing a stash of chocolates in a basket or hiding them throughout the house and garden. The sweet toothed rabbits we know today are thought to have first appeared in Germany along with the brilliant notion of creating rabbits out of chocolate.
‘Your path is not to seek for LOVE but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you built against it.’
No matter what obscures your inner brilliance, it is flowing within you and always available.
As a response to violation and injustice, anger is a fiery moral passion that impels us to act in the protection of one’s life or integrity. It is an honourable emotion so long as we don’t use it as a fuel for hatred and violence.
If we exlpore anger as a by-product of aborted grief, fear or despair; denied and suppressed the energies of these softer emotions are easily coverted to, and masked by, the harder emotions of anger and rage.

Befriend grief, fear and despair and you open to the possibility for empowerment and transformation.
Impermanence is a GIFT teaching us to live in the unfolding moment to moment reality of the pesent.
This is hot and risky to our rational mind but exhilerating, clear and unbounded to our spirit.
Imagine if you TRUSTED in the face of all phenomena.
It is important to be aware of the state of our minds, aware of our pedal and spin into endless distraction, only to find our life has passed us by.
The practice of awareness is to continually bring ourselves back to the totality and beauty of now and live now, right here in the present moment.
‘Don’t be like the pigeon in the tibetan proverb, he spends all night fussing about, making his bed, and dawn comes up before he has even had time to go to sleep.’
‘Human beings spend all their lives preparing, preparing, preparing … only to meet the next life unprepared.’
